It breaks my heart to see Aya like this, emotionless, broken enough to want to destroy all the life she used to protect, but I can also recognize the brilliance of this piece of character development.
By changing Aya into Anti-Aya, the GLTAS team created the best villain I’ve seen in a long time. A better villain than Atrocious, “The Light” in Young Justice, and countless others…
She is unbelievably powerful and has a horrible plan in mind for the galaxy, but every time she appears on the screen, you can’t feel any anger for her, only hurt and dismay.
They have created a strong AND empathetic villain. That is one of the most beautiful forms of characterization that exists in story telling.
This, this, ALL OF THIS.
